why everyone says that it's racist? Am I miss something while I read?
I am white so I can’t even come close to fully understanding how this feels reading as a person of colour, but I know that this follows many offensive stereotypes such as black people having big lips which is actually used as an insult and way of bullying. It’s also just completely insensitive...the author should’ve done more research. I’m sorry if my comment is wrong or offends anyone this is just my take on the situation.
One of the most obvious racist things is that the love interest of the main character is portrayed as hot while not sharing any of the physical attributes as the other natives. For example, his hair, face, and body is clearly very different to the other people in the village. A random man from the village is not portrayed as hot and, instead, the one who is has a much lighter complexion that is closer to the main character’s is. Furthermore, the webtoon portrays the natives as “savages”. This is by far not the only indicators of racism but are the ones that immediately jumped at me.
