ok ngl this is really cool. analyzing and dissecting the "Mary Sue" trope and considering how it would affect an actual person, not a character from a novel (because the moment Latte got into that world, it became her reality and the people around her were as human as her). its really cool! i didn't expect to see such an interesting take on the "protagonist to villainess"
i can't blame her for leaving. being treated coldly and as a fake for years can really mess up your psyche, and she really didn't want to ruin Jeremy's wedding + the words of the other children confirmed what she thought she should do: to leave.
i actually cried cause rebecca reminds me of myself. i also fell in love with my best friend, a really lovable girl. we are both girls and she is straight, so we are only friends and i was able to move on and love another girl. i hope rebecca can do the same.
