Eh, I think this ML has always been more insane than the ML in roses and champagnes lol. There is going to be a kidnapping and confinement arc after this, and this top will not be kind during that time. But he will sort of mellow out after a while, and when the MC escapes he doesn't go crazier (sort of). He follows the MC along and then the MC accepts him. So, I would say that he gets better at the end, even though he's always been batshit crazy.
