Hmm. Not nearly even there yet. The lack of chemistry is GOOD, y'all. If KD had any chemistry despite being treated so badly, you'd be here raising hell about how weak he was. He's depressed, beaten down by life BUT is beginning to stand up for himself. As for the pile of muscles, at least he's starting to finally reflect on his actions. He's got a long way to go until he becomes a normal human being but caring about someone other than himself will help. He was an abused, angry piece of shit his entire life and had an equally rough coach - hasn't really had the best role-models in life. I think it's silly to suddenly expect selflessness or gentleness or thank-yous right now. He's beginning to show that he's actually thinking about KD as more than a tool in the only way he can right now. He knows KD is basically done with him, so he's manipulating him the only way is really possible to get him into treatment. That's how people work. They either grow and fix their mistakes or they just break it off and move on. I think EVERYONE here knows who the 2 MLs are, this is their story, no one is suddenly going to pop out of the woodwork, so chill.

Agree with most comments. But at the same time, if everything was swiftly resolved, it would feel rushed. I just savor every time one of the maids get offed while we patiently wait. When the so-called-king meets his maker - now that, that will be sweet. This novel is turning me into a bloodthirsty animal lmao
The absolute violence I wish upon those two is not fit to be written here. Let's say I won't be mad if their heads end up on castle gates.
Say it, we will feel fine reading it.
Carve them like turkeys. He's a fine swordsman afterall. And, naturally, off with their heads. Especially the fat swine. Feed the rest to the buzzards.
Do you feel a bit better?
