Imagine being SO threatened as to harass a MANHWA author about depicting things that will PROBABLY TURN OUT IN THIS EXACT WAY IN THE FUTURE GIVEN EVERYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT THAT COUNTRY. Just ... imagine that level of fragility. On pins in needles
about The People seeing past the regime's facade, eh? Pathetic.
Art is gorgeous, men are hot but such a shit plot. I've read pllllllenty of NC manhwas of various types but this one was near unbearable. The white haired guy has such a punchable face. NC blackmail the entire way with no real signs of letting up, then an abrupt totally shit ending. You read read read hoping that the psycho will change but nope, he's just a psycho.
I was not prepared! No one said anything. Mah hart!
Good god, I thought *I* would go crazy if this didn't progress beyond murdering and recarnating. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
I expect massive orgies once all this Lord business is figured out, mark my words.
Worth it. I don't even like children that much but this kid was adorable. Sure it's cliche, but which one of these stories isn't? We come here to escape the dreary reality of our lives, this one fits the bill as good as any others. The art is sharp and consistent throughout.
Ok, I get it. Dude's depressed, that much is obvious, of course he doesn't give a shit about his own condition. Depression kills everything and affects the way you perceive everything but it's damn awful to see him have SO little self worth and to whore out to a piece of shit like Jaekyung. Massively passive aggressive but too depressed to scream at that asshole to fuck all the way off and leave. The guy clearly is richer than God and doesn't even remember the debt anyway, he wouldn't bother holding it over Dan unless he wanted something else from him. It's hard to watch someone self destruct like that. It's an anime but art imitates life.
Legit twisted/disturbing story. I'm not quite sure if I buy the ending, it seemed to come out of nowhere. But, I have faith in recognizing your problems and getting help for them, which both of them need to do asap if they're going to be together. There's a lot of disturbing history. They both suffered some seriously shitty abuse, from their families and close ones and from each other, honestly. If anything, they needed to have taken some time apart. Then there's the issue of Jinha's age. I didn't realize he was so young when Won approached him - no wonder the kid got so fixated on him, that was too young to get exposed to all that and he seemed super innocent.
ya'll are vicious lmao
I like the art, it's minimalistic compared to stuff like Lies Become You or Who Stole Empress but it's still good. Plot is cliche of course, macho powerful mafia boy, shrinking violet poor girl with a granny to protect. But they cute. I'm reading Bullshit rn and I like the art and plot there better (tho it's very similar).
I came back to this at ch 67 after a long time away and had to put it down bc whoever was translating and laying it out did such a piss-poor job. If you can't translate it right, just don't do it at all, it sounds like gibberish and totally ruins the whole experience.
I like the art. The story is bizarrely inconsistent. At some point it feels like you missed a bunch of chapters. FL does a 180 in personality and it's not well supported even with the flashbacks. It all only becomes clear in the last few chapters, so you're feeling your way round in the dark until then. Def not the best execution of this theme. Their chemistry is also questionable. It doesn't feel like FL feels the same way about the ML even in the end.
