His childhood was truly heartbreaking. Seeing a little kid with blood running down his face, bruised and blue, it’s devastating. No child deserves that. Some people just shouldn’t be allowed to be parents. He endured more than anyone ever should. Parents are meant to adore you, to forgive you, to love you unconditionally…he never had that. He never learned what healthy love looks like. That’s why he always has his guard up, why showing vulnerability feels impossible for him. I’m not excusing the choices he’s made as an adult, but now, everything makes so much more sense. He needs to learn how to be kinder to himself, to let the wounded child inside him finally heal. He’s carrying so much buried anger. He deserves love, patience, and the chance to finally feel safe.
My empathy for Jaekyung isn’t meant to minimize what Kim Dan has gone through, he’s suffered just as much, if not more. But we need to understand that people cope differently. Pain doesn’t look the same on everyone. People are complicated. It’s never just good or bad, there’s always a messy middle.

Of course Taeui has schizophrenia, he twinkified Xinlu for months and then, the moment he stopped loving him, the twinkification magically stopped too. Ilay’s so jealous because sure, he slept with Xinlu, but deep down he knows Taeui actually loved him. And now Xinlu’s out here crossing continents like it’s a k drama finale just to chase his schizophrenic situationship.

- This happened fairly early on, probably around chapter 40-60. From what was shown, it was oral, but they implied they went further. Xinlu initiated it to push Ilay away from Tae. Ilay agreed only to make Tae jealous. (Tae was going after Xinlu at the time)
- As for dating, Tae and Xinlu were seeing each other unofficially. There was never anything romantic between Xinlu and Ilay, if anything, they’re sworn enemies.

He’s been pouring all his energy into keeping grandpa alive, that’s why he’s so weak now. But it’s time to say goodbye. I think grandpa knows…and he’s ready to let go.

I think it’s the grandpa. From the start, what really tied Taesun and Geumryang together was saving him. The babies are growing just fine, they don’t seem to need much. But there’s been a lot of foreshadowing around death lately. And since grandpa already saw Geumryang in his snake form, I think he’s put two and two together.
Jeez, what a creep…eavesdropping on a private conversation while hiding in public bathroom.
