Can’t believe I felt bad for a chicken-human who struggles to lay eggs, only for him to fry them the NEXT MORNING. What’s next, he needs another chicken to fertilize them now? I guess the moral of the story is, when life gives you eggs, fry them, then feed them to the guy whose mouth you just came in.
Also, why do I get the feeling Uncle A caught some kind of virus too? And that’s probably why he ran off.
His childhood was truly heartbreaking. Seeing a little kid with blood running down his face, bruised and blue, it’s devastating. No child deserves that. Some people just shouldn’t be allowed to be parents. He endured more than anyone ever should. Parents are meant to adore you, to forgive you, to love you unconditionally…he never had that. He never learned what healthy love looks like. That’s why he always has his guard up, why showing vulnerability feels impossible for him. I’m not excusing the choices he’s made as an adult, but now, everything makes so much more sense. He needs to learn how to be kinder to himself, to let the wounded child inside him finally heal. He’s carrying so much buried anger. He deserves love, patience, and the chance to finally feel safe.
My empathy for Jaekyung isn’t meant to minimize what Kim Dan has gone through, he’s suffered just as much, if not more. But we need to understand that people cope differently. Pain doesn’t look the same on everyone. People are complicated. It’s never just good or bad, there’s always a messy middle.

That was so cruel, to mention a director and not show THE director.
