I recently read the novel, and it was absolutely heartbreaking. I’m not sure how closely the manhwa will stick to it, but I really hope they make some changes. Even though both characters are kind of awful, I still want them to have a somewhat happier ending in the manhwa. Because if it follows the novel exactly…it’s just going to be nauseating. Honestly, I wish Jiwook had just died. No matter what someone’s done, no one deserves to be treated like that. I keep reminding myself it’s just fiction…these people don’t exist, and neither does their suffering.

Juyeon had a crush on Jiwook when they were teenagers. After he confessed his feelings, Jiwook gang rapes him and send the photos to Juyeons mother, leading to serious Juyeon’s mother being hospitalised. Years later, Juyeon seeks revenge. What follows is a cycle of escalating violence and control, where Juyeon becomes increasingly abusive, trapping Jiwook in a twisted, dehumanizing dynamic. After the last Mangwa eidpide, Juyeon send that creepy junior his address and those sensitive photos, leading to that guy gang raping him with three others. That guy was especially sadistic, Jiwook ends up very broken after the incident. Juyeon comes to take him “home” after the deed is done and they’ve sent him photos and videos of everything. He keeps raping him many more times. He makes others gang tape him again when he doesn’t remember the past (due to amnesia), where he just sits there and watches doing nothing. They beats him brutally, rapes him, uses objects (ex.baseball bat), makes a dog rape him etc. He ends up in hospital with ptsd, to the point he’s afraid of all men except for Juyeon. Even after Jiwook reaches complete emotional and physical collapse, Juyeon continues to treat him like property rather than a person. He buys him a pet collar. Uses toys on him in public, takes him in public just to humiliate him. Although Jiwook’s past actions were undeniably wrong, Juyeon’s revenge becomes far more disturbing and destructive.

I’m absolutely in love with this story. I’m especially happy now that the art style has improved so much. Last season, everyone looked a little rough…the eyes were kind of wonky, and the proportions felt off. But now? It’s chef’s kiss.
Kyungtae sprinting across the yard to join them was the funniest thing ever. Next stop, Chansol gets pregnant and the guys start fighting over who the father is.

First, he moves into Taeyoon’s old place. Totally normal, right? Then he reenters Taeyoon’s life right after he breaks up with his long term boyfriend. And shows up at the exact cafe Taeyoon works at, the morning after they sleep together. Jaemin didn’t just fall back in love. He was waiting for the right moment.
Hear me out, guys. I don’t think Bada is just an NPC. He’s the only one with a computer engineering degree, which feels way too specific to be random. His deep knowledge of the game’s locations also stands out…it’s almost like insider knowledge, not just something a player or fan would know. Sure, he’s a horror fanatic, but knowing every single horror trope perfectly for an NPC seems suspicious. It feels like he knows how everything is structured because he helped create it, not just because he’s a fan.
I also don’t think his original memories are completely gone. My guess? One of the other characters is hiding them…probably for a bigger reason we haven’t seen yet.
