Ha! I don’t blame you. Personally, My happy ending is if my poor doctor successfully continues to run away. So far, he seems to have succeeded. I pray that he manages to stay away, even though I know better. So my next prayer is for this author to shock all of us by giving the doctor the justice he deserves. I want him to drive a knife right through the king and for the king to sit there with a shocked pikachu face as he realizes that he’s so extremely foul that the one person he loves would rather watch him slowly bleed to death than be with him. Extra torture would make it perfect. This is my hope and my wish for this story. so I’m staying until the end, or until it’s clear that we’re dealing with a Stockholm syndrome situation.

For abit in a panel in the beginning, there was a ring box. I'm just assuming it's a ring. I guess he was busy looking for an anniversary gift, so he kept giving excuses. Then when he met with his siblings it was mentioned that he asked for help in picking an anniversary gift. And I think MC, given his dementia?, thought it was their anniversary on a wrong date.
