
it's sasha's dream to do ballet. and hearing him saying that he would rather have his leg broken and abandoning his dream for karel... it's very very sad. it's an unhealthy attachment and codependency. though yes, after all that trauma, i understand why he acted like that... but it's not healthy. in a relationship, he should be able to maintain his own identity as "sasha, the ballerina" and not just "someone who belongs to karel"
i know karel probably wants sasha to reach his dream, but the way he said that to sasha is just to harsh. and slapping him like that??? in the public ????

as others have mentioned about reading the novel, i would like to suggest you to also check out the audio drama while reading the novel (especially if you understand bits of chinese).
im rereading the novel rn while listening to the AD and it's so good! the voice acting made the novel feels more alive to me. i could imagine the scene so clear in my head with the bgm & vfx ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
