I tried reading this, I got until chapter 15:

Things that I like

(1)The male characters are green flags.
(2) Women are not sexualized
(3) There are moments that I found cute

Things that I hate

(1) The height difference pmo
(2)Again the story is cliche due to the unnecessary overused dramas tropes with terrible execution
(3) There is nothing fun about this story
(4) The female characters are 1 dimensional but surprisingly not in a mysogonistic way, they just felt like typical shojou characters(no unique aspect)
(5) Too many introduced characters at the beginning and I know they will have their own stories later on but not enough to keep me invested. It feels crowded/overwhelming.

And I feel like this is something non-straight people will like as hetero romance, but as a straight person, their trauma feels performative in the sense that it felt like these traumas are there purely for the storyline, which of course they should be, but it didn't resonate with me/did not feel authentic. Hatred for men, misunderstood delinquent, best friend of the female lead who has trauma and developed dependency on her, I've already seen these a lot of times, and the why these were tackled didn't feel genuine, maybe the random blush didn't help set the atmosphere, their dialogs weren't realistic, anyway I find these characters cringe

I just think you’re used to straight cut characters instead of characters who get developed as the story goes on which is why this manga many people enjoy and like.

I really don’t know your age but i’m gonna assume your younger or the same age as the characters based on your grammar and the things you took apart from this manga. It’s not a shojou it has romance themes don’t get me wrong but this is a slice of life more than anything.

The trauma every kid has here are based in real life and real scenarios as someone went through my highschool junior/senior year making huge decisions for my future this manga is realistic. You don’t know who you are, you don’t know what you wanna be. The flower of youth is blossoming because you’re falling in love while trying to get your shit together and your identity together in general which makes this manga wonderful to read!!

It shows how teenagers react, and respond to real life scenarios. Which i totally respect your opinion on not liking it, but don’t really trash the manga if it just isn’t your taste because it’s actually a really well throughout manga.

It’s personally my fave cause I wish i had their life like reading this makes me live through their reality and the bf i mentioned that was tall i wish i treated him better when i was stupid but waoguri did her best on school like shes literally a scholar trying to be a doctor while having a job at that and she even has a sweet bf. I notice all the characters have dreams and passions they wanna pursue unlike in reality we do it all for the money thats why i love this manga its all about things that matter in life that we consider cliche and not the norm. I do understand where ur coming from sometimes its too much but I personally would prefer this fluff than toxicity itself

Yes, but they make me cringe, and their unrealistic interaction does not offer me with comfort. Also, they blush excessively, and their relationship lacks subtlety, there is always something going on, and there are always other people seeing them together, as well as a bunch of coincidences that push them together, they always need someone to push them together,it feels like they are putting on a show.

There are cliches but so much of it so well thought out and I lowkey thought it was kinda boring at first too cus of how much emphasis they put into each characters emotions but the more I’ve read the more excited I get to see how they develop the characters. In a way, the slow development has perfectly timed itself to match the pace of my real time life. They started talking about college around the same time I needed to genuinely start thinking abt college too, and it felt so comforting to see these guys also struggling while supporting each other and finding themselves. Essentially, the story itself is good; cliches or not. And even if you don’t like how slow it is I think you should at least give the current chapters a try bc it’s the story of the baker guys parents and it’s really cute and not too draggy imo. It’s like the last four chapters I think
