two things i will never understand in scams:
1) putting watermarks on your illegal work
2) getting mad that something you're posting illegally (and technically for free) it's being posted somewhere else illegally
it still takes hours upon hours of work to make a good scanlation? if they want people to read it on a specific site, it's not that big of deal
I understand that, but calling us theif and not even give time to reader's migrate to the site they want is what upset me. They are saying it's our fault, but I just found out that the original post are on bato and they already deleted the chapters.
And there's original translation here too and all those big sites take bot to take from another places, only the exclusive sites from scans don't steal from other places, it's piracy it's was always like that and kida it make the piracy alive bc if one place is take down there a ton of other places with it, so there's always kids of a backup. Plus there's scan that get mad if another scan translate the same work, they consider it as stealing they readers, so this is basically walk in circle, so with this kinda of exclusives if one places is down all the work is lost.

There’s also a practical reason that uploading onto their own website or bato lets them know how popular their work is because it records page visits. It helps them prioritise the stories that actually have viewers. There’s no way to do that with mangago. I get it, it’s a mild inconvenience you have to read scanlator drama but I think we can all be a little empathetic to these
People who put so much time into it only for it to get scraped by the bots. I’m usually here for official stories anyway…which admittedly isn’t good either but I still try to support the artist when I can. The reason why every other sit hates mgg readers is bc ppl here are super entitled for no reason? Let’s just be empathetic okay?
Do u know what else took hours upon hours of work to make? The art. The og dialouges. Asking to only read it on one site is hypocritical. Why? Because i'm sure the author also would 'prefer' if we payed for their work.
