Literally just stayed up until 2 am to finish this. THIS WAS SO GOOD!!!! I thought that he was literally a half dog but it was just... uhh a saying? Idk how to phrase it. Also speaking of that, the way they executed the "dog" stuff felt underdeveloped because at first they were talking about how hes a dog and midway he suddenly becomes a "cat" and even does a cat cosplay at the end. Just a small thing I noticed but barely impacted the story tbh

The dog and cat are aspects of the MC’s identity. It is prevalent throughout the whole story. The whole story is about the MC finding who he wants to be. Either the loyal dog who obeys every command from the ML’s brother, or the lazy cat who indulges himself all day alongside the ML.
You can see MC struggling between these identities throughout the story. He was conditioned by the ML’s brother to be dutiful, loyal, and ascetic, which is why we see him organizing the house once he gets there, doing chores, getting a job, etc. The ML on the other hand didn’t expect anything from him. At some point, they begin to just sit around eat, drink, and have sex. Then again he returns to the ML’s brother. It’s simply a struggle for identity and autonomy. The dog and cat are just the MC’s conflicting identities. They’re fighting each other.

OKay can I just say that both main characters are pathetic af???? Especially the uke damn.... Like uke cant understand the position he's in and expects seme to be by his side 24/7 when he literally acted like he didnt care for him or gave minimum effort for the first 2-3 years they lived together. I havent gone to the end but theres just so much shit/drama going and just less than 20 chs left to read and Idk if its gonna be a happy ending... Probably bittersweet at best. Its quite common in mangas Ig but obsessive love at first sight is crazyyyyyyyyy. Like bitch spent almost a year travelling and looking for him after only knowing him for a few hours.
