I think it’s because it wasn’t chainsaw man that ate makima, it was denji in his regular form. So like other devils makima got reincarnated.
So he doesn’t really grant her wish in the end.
I mean why would he grant her wish? she treated him like ass. I think it’s actually good since she never saw denji for who he is, it’s ironic that she got eaten by denji himself rather then chainsaw man like she wanted.
