Its good mix where there's some tension and drama but it's still hopeful and light hearted.
I think it's interesting too how they protray the father (sneaking to eat the mc candy or buying him a expensive new phone) I thought they portrayed an abusive relationship realistically. They are terrible but there's moments where they r kind or r humanized and that make it easier to understand why the mc doesn't just hate his father.
I feel like a lot of other yaoi will have similar relationships like this but don't give the audience any clue as why the mc stays or doesnt completely hate their abusers.
The characters have a lot of depth which I appreciate.
When the uke said no UR the the one who needs to see a doctor I thought he was calling him a crazy bitch but he meant it for the pheromones....

That wacko obviously wants him pregnant with his child so he wont do anything to end that pregnancy. So hitting and stressing him out is out of the question.
