I'm only at ch 13 rn but I'm feeling frustrated at the mc. The ml has told him that's he only is doing this for him and that's he special. So for the mc to then say (to himself) that ml is player is frustrating.
I guess the ml helping him right away with pheromones could be interpreted that he's a player but the ml addresses that right away.
We haven't been given any info about the mc to explain if he has low confidence or trust excuses. That info to me would give some explanation of the mc reaction.
And we havent seen any signs of the ml being a player (like the mc spotting the ml on a date outside work while he's still helping him or rumors going around the office about ml be a big flirt)
So I can't really understand the mc hostility to ml. I guess it sounded like its tedious to work with the ml but he also has been kind and considerate to the mc (that even he acknowledges)

I honestly think in large part, it's because he perceived him to be the cause of his transition. Idk about you, but if I was a beta and turned omega because I had blood out for my boss, I would've lost my damn mind and resign from the job - but then all of a sudden my boss is the only one I can be around? He suddenly changed his turn when he sees me struggling as a omega? That's kinda fucked (self-perception-wise, ofc it makes sense when you think about it objectively, but everything is from the MC's perspective in the beginning) He got a murder account after all, kinda hard to wrap your head round the knowledge that your body changed physiologically. Of course, maybe in part his body already felt compatible with the boss and this was inevitable, but MC doesn't see it that way, and I don't think any sane person would if they found that out for themselves as well.

Is it me just noticing it now or has this trope of the mc finding a child (something about child is different aka they an animal/human hypid, are some supernatural creature etc.) And mc raises them and they get together.
There's been a popular story on here recently with this trope as well (it wasn't brought to light that ml was raised by mc until later on) so maybe that's why I've become more aware of others with this same trope?
If you beat him just a little I think we'll ALL feel a little better
