Yeah, I think they wanted to breed a "killing machine" or a powerful leader for their clan. He either had violent tendencies (he couldn't remember) that his dad pushed further or he taught him by force. Don't know if he meant to kill his dad on purpose since the story isn't done...

I don't remember if he killed his dad on purpose, but he wasn't conscious when he hurt his siblings and his friends. As a child, he was forced to stay in his wolf form to make him stronger but it caused him to have really bad backlash where his wolf would take over and he'd become extremely violent. This was 100% his dad's plan. He raised YCY to be stronger than the other wolves, while also making him scared of his wolf side so that he could be easier for the leader to control.
