I hv to say that this is all come down to the choices that he makes.. wt kind of choices would you make.. do you want to repeat the past? Or do you want to change it.. heart changes according to the environment.. altho it looks like the mc leaving the original fl.. he feels sorry for her because he couldn’t love her… do you want to marry someone if you don’t love her?? I agree ML was wrong when he got close to YeonHee because of past-life curiousity. I also agree she is a kind woman who doesn't deserve all the hurts especially SangMin.
It just...because from the moment he regressed back, our ML already choose a path that very different from his past. So he can't find a way to make her the fated-FL.
Like right now we have 1+2=3 . But if we regressed back to when we wrote the "1" and choose to change it to "2" now, even if the rest of number stays the same, you still can't get the result as "3". It will be 2+2=4..
