I love this author. I really do. I just wish I felt more love between them at the end.
The young seme was terrible. He hurt and scarred the uke in ways that followed him for years. Seeing him tremble in fear as an adult when the seme touched him broke my heart. In the end, he really seemed like he wanted to take it slow and cherish the uke (while making it clear that he still had problems with control, urging the uke not to push him to the point where he felt he couldn't stop (side note: That's never a valid reason to continue after someone says no)), but I just felt like the love wasn't really planted properly.
I can go along with forgiving someone that hurt you in the past as long as they acknowledge the wrong, show that they've changed and you feel ready to forgive them, but I didn't get that feeling from this manga. Maybe it was just time constraints, but I wish they had explored the uke's need to actually forgive the seme more and start a relationship based on loving the person the seme became, instead of vaguely trying to remember why you loved him back when he was a rapist.
The art is always 10/10 with this author, though.
I'll give this a grudging five stars and feel some empathy for Kan-chan. Just a little. Maybe. He's still on my list for hurting Yumi. AGHHH. Sensei, why do you make me see things from both sides like this??
But reality isn’t just b&w. And that’s exactly the reason why this mangaka produces such amazingly authentic stories. The characters are straight out of life. They’re "real". Such people don’t just crawl out of the abyss. They’re made by other people. Everyone has their own story …

From a fantasy standpoint, these were all enthralling and complicated. I loved them.
From a realistic standpoint: OH MY GOD NooooOOoooOOooooOOOoooOOo,
