The red hair here actually died in the bus accident, i think Wang Yi was in coma, and Bai Mo, alive, in her grief agreed to be voluntarily iskeaid to save them both. It's shown in the flashback in the zombie apocalypse in the medical report but also towards the early chapters i believe.
