A lot of people are mad because the author is simply ADDING DEPTH to the fucking coprotagonist of the story. I don't know where the guys've read tons of "justification" or even "explanation" in the latter chapters; I can only see Mingwa trying to use the backstory to humanize JK a little bit more in this final half of the manhwa, which is necessary given all the wrongdoings, rudeness and violence of his.
I'm not saying it's good writing, but let's be real here, we're not reading The Brothers Karamazov as well. There are many criticisms I would like to point out at Jinx, especially the oversexualization of violent and abusive scenes, however Mingwa didn't create JK to be discarded out at the end, and this is pretty clear throughout the chapters. He's the very first character to be shown, the story travels around him and he's settled to be someone of help for Dan in critical moments.
If you don't agree with JK and Dan being together, it's ok — actually irl I would recommend any friend of mine to run away from someone like him. But that's not the story Mingwa wanted to write, so it's inevitable we'll have some forgiveness for him in the end, we can only pray for that to happen after a long struggle and a dose of humiliation for him, because — as it may seem obvious — there isn't any justification for anything he's done to our beloved Dan.

They never had sex or a real relationship (the ml and mc best friend) and it wasn’t really a problem later in the story! So if you still want to give it a try I think this story is good

I think in Passion it's done well bc ml falls way earlier - he hinself can't tell - and it's rly nice to see how well mc takes no shit from his crush. Like it's so satisfying when he just goes: nope it's over my heart is cold.

Since it hurts to see the misunderstandings go on this awfully long let me just say this: the one who said that was NOT Andante, it was Ano's actual ex-lover Coda, who was also present just like the rest of the guild. Not a coincidence either that he and Andante was the most eager to get the body back (as one was a brother and one was a lover)

Like in my country, we have an endearment that essentially translates to "my love" and the lady seller from the store across the street would call you that all the time. I just feel like yall dont account culture and translation every time yall consume smth that isnt originally in english.

I feel like yall forget that not everything is american and for most parts of asia, "my love" is a common endearment that everyone uses, even the lady selling you goods from the marketplace would call you that all the time. My parents call me that, my cousins call me that. It's a common damn endearment. Take that into account when yall consume asian media next time ffs
