Seriously though, the idea of mini-emotion-revealing clones is just such a neat idea!
This is extreme but it's amazing how it shows what simple physical bullying can progress to. If someone you know is being bullied--don't do nothing. You never know just how far undeveloped kids will go in their assault.
This is not a BL story. This is rape with food and 2nd degree murder. IT'S LITERALLY ONE BIG TRIGGER SO BE WARNED!
So let me start by saying that this story is nowhere near as dark as the cover leads one to believe. The thing looks like it's gonna be some tragic rape story like "Obey Me" or "Warehouse" BUT IT'S NOT.
So moving on, *THE FOLLOWING HAS SPOILERS FOR THE PLOT*:
So Hitoshi is a 20yo college student who lives alone in the house while his mom is living on-site at her job. This leads to trouble when Hitoshi stumbles upon Mah, the seme on his way home one day. Mah seems like your typical thug. He pretty much forces his way into Hitoshi's house, steals nearly all his savings, and even refuses to give him back his own phone/wallet. Just when Hitoshi has finally lost his shit (with the police being NO help at all) and strikes back at Mah from fear, things begin to turn smexy. Mah apparently finds our terrified trembling Uke to be cute and begins to assault him but stops short of actually doing the deed--sticking with thigh-sex since Hitoshi wasn't so against that.
Anyway, following this, Hitoshi receives a bag of cash worth over double what was stolen from Mah and the latter begins to take up house-responsibilities like chores while watching over Hitoshi. As he sticks up for Hitoshi, they get closer and closer until a few months in, even Hitoshi is admitting he has Stockholm-Syndrome. His feelings are revealed to be more honest however when Mah's ex-crime partner shows up and begins putting doubts into Hitoshi's head. Mah, wishing to not be caught for his past crimes (and not wanting to get wrapped back up with the ex-partner) tries his best to appease his Ex because the douche-bag financially ruined Hitoshi's Mom. He put her 300k in debt just to spite Mah for leaving him for Hitoshi and the final chapters highlight just how far the two MC's are willing to go for one another.
At this point (ch 9) the story is over but the two following chapters are the epilogue showing how the two are now a live-in couple...BUT WAIT! Now Hitoshi's Mom is coming home and what follows is a cute rush of emotions and a very sweet ending.
*PLOT SPOILERS OVER*
That being said, if you're in this for smut--look elsewhere as there is no real sex. Just some cute touches and 2 intercrural scenes (inner thigh sex) but no one is ever naked with the exception of Mah's butt in a flashback. I really enjoyed how sweet this was and loved the Seme Mah-Kun. I'd give 8/10 cuz of the lack of any pivotal love scene that everyone wanted. Hope this helped people still debating on whether to read this. :3

Like, I get that the status is ongoing but from what it seems, this is either done or wrapping up with side stories and I was wondering before I got all into if the story and main plot were done or if it's just a season break or something~

I can't believe how long it took me to realize that they censored a damn cigarette! I was like, why is he holding his hand out like that and then he "gives" one to Taehyun and I'm just like *smh roflmao kids these days*
I am really liking this so far (got to ch 12 at this time) and I know from comments that the story feels rushed and ends "meh" but right now, I'm just enjoying the ride. This is already way more put together than "Hakwonmul", the author's other title imo.
So after finishing this I must say that I did indeed like it more than "Hakwonmul" but at the same time, it's still not the best. It is a truly cute story and I liked all the characters but some of the situations are grating.
I personally liked Jaehyuk and Taehyun the best as characters. The former may be a yandere douche who has too many similarities with a rl abusive BF but at the same time, he felt real in that he was twisted up inside and knew what he was doing was wrong...but couldn't make himself stop (too weak willed?).
Taehyun is the best character. He's kind, selfless, works hard to do what he thinks is best for his family but is also an unknown-aged man living in a body at least 20 years younger than normal. This would bring some concerns to the more sensitive readers since it means a grown man is basically crushing on a teen.
All that aside, it was worth a night to read it. I recommend 6.5/10
