I started with the regular version and then went into the rest via the webtoon version but regardless, the story was excellent. The characters act and speak more realistically than half the crap I've read and this was made back in the 2000's. The plot is easy to follow and while it can get heavy, there aren't any dropped plot ideas that that you constantly find at the end of manhwa's. Everything was tidily summed up and the whole thing was a pleasure to read.
HEADS UP: THERE IS NO SEX! Those who came here thinking this would be hot and steamy BL, I am afraid that's not the case. While it IS hot and they do have sex often, it is never shown in detail (the most is a sheet-covered Mookyul). There is no hot lightsaber action and the whole thing really does scream Shonen-Ai. Anyway, 8/10 for the plot and overall read of the Webtoon version. Would recommend~

I'm not sure if I understand correctly but from what I recall, this main series, whether read in the manga version or the webtoon version doesn't show explicit sex. The spinoffs and sequels following this main series that the author also made however ARE explicit with lots of sex(albiet, lightsabers). I wanted people to know that if they were looking for "smut" this wasn't it. I apologize for making it seem like the very censored acts in this main series didn't count when they technically do. The story was very plot driven and while it still counts as yaoi of course, I was saying it is so light in it's sensual portrayal that it barley counted as more than shonen-ai...it was basically a joke. Anyway~ sorry if my comment/posts weren't helpful for you. ( ̄∇ ̄")

I was expecting the usual trope of brooding vampire seme eating up a pathetic uke but I was pleasantly surprised in that this is a total subversion. The seme is actually a sweet and fluffy vampire who can't even drink blood without transforming into a spoiler. The uke isn't a delicate flower either which is a nice change of pace.
Overall, this was a much shorter read than I was expecting. Part of it is surely to do with the ending being so fast paced but the entire manhwa in general is fast paced with short pages. The ending could've been better, as it didn't answer a few questions (what about the vampire leader, Ron the Death Eater--er I mean Vampire's lover, or the family situations). For the love of god, there is an added family member at the end that we see for a grand total of 0 (zero) times outside of her spoiler form...
In the end, this was a good little story with much more humor than I expected. The 1st few chapters are especially funny so if they aren't your cup of tea, then this probably won't be for you. I recommend it though if you like drama free vampire fluff with minimal steam but lots of romance.

So the story follows 2 main characters, Jun Shen the brunette rock-star in training and Zhixing Yu, a blonde oil painter living a slummy life and who secretly obsesses over Jun Shen, his neighbor. As it so happens, Zhixing and Jun, despite being in the same high-school have never spoken a word to each other to this day. As Zhixing gets closer to realizing how futile his love/crush is, he feeds a magic cat(god) and is granted a wish in return. I WANT JUN TO LOVE ME!~ His initial request is denied, as LOVE is too powerful to force--even for a kitty-god. Instead, our MC Zhixing is given a week to make Jun fall for him and to help, the kitty-god turns Jun into a cat!
Our story unfolds with the days as the week goes by and Jun/Zhixing slowly get closer. The two can't talk since Jun's a cat but he does understand Zhixing and while they begin to get closer to one another, Jun pulls away when he realizes Zhixing's feelings for him. Unfortunately, this one gesture leads to the spiral of drama we see--as we learn about Zhixing's and Jun's individual pasts and the cat-god interferes.
*SPOILERS*
Zhixing grew up a child of divorced parents and since his father went on to become a glorified artist, his mother always hated how similar Zhixing was. This is revealed to have tormented the kid until he saw Jun and his band for the 1st time (just a bunch of kids playing music on the street, not professionally). Zhixing is personally afflicted with how much energy Jun is putting into a "hopeless" path and sends him a fan-letter under the name "William" that basically says "Git good cuz right now you suck. I like your voice though and hope you succeed. Show me you can." and this spurs Jun into becoming the rock-star he is today. Unfortunately, as Jun got older, he refused to acknowledge his feelings for this "William" and plays a part in one of his friend's leaving school after he's outed as gay (the friend, not Jun).
This brings us back to the main story where Jun has just flinched away from Zhixing's touch--having figured out the way Zhixing feels. As the days follow, the two don't interact and it is revealed that if he fails to make Jun love him, Zhixing agrees to have the cat-god take away his feelings for Jun entirely. When Jun learns this, he begins to freak out and we spend the remaining chapters in a dream-realm that cat-god send' Jun to. In this realm, Jun is returned to his days in high-school, where he undoes his mistakes from before. He helps his gay friend stay strong and meets his lover, he works to understand his feelings, and all the while--the GF Jun had originally at the time is now swapped for Zhixing. He sees Zhixing as male but everyone else see him as the GF of the real past. One thing leads to another and Jun hurts Zhixing again in this dream world--failing to fix things before it ends.
Now Jun is freaking out, knowing that the day after tomorrow Zhixing will forget his love for him but thankfully a Deus Ex Machina appears in the form of Jun's old friend and current band-mate. This guy apparently figured out that Jun is a cat, texts him back and forth, and basically shows Zhixing that Jun loves him all in one sitting. Honestly, this part of the plot is weak-sauce but the ending is just so sweet.
The ending is happy. It ends with the two of the MC's together in love, openly sharing how they feel. 7/10 in that the story plot was a mess but if you sort through it, it's actually a very sweet story with minimal drama~ (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

This story is split into multiple "arcs" featuring different pairings as the story goes. From chapter 1-50 most of the story is about our cover couple Serval/Black Lion. During these chapters we meet a few side character pairings like Puma/White Lion and the oneshot couple of Beluga/Dwarf Whale. Following the 50th chapter is a Meta reality where the character's are shown to be actual humans reading/creating the story we've just read up until here.
The following chapters of 50+ are basically focused on one string of events (getting the "reds" out of the protected zone) and how the animals in question click. This is a WHOLE different group of pairings and focuses on Jaguar/Wolf-Dog Hybrid and Jaguar/Black Jaguar. Ends happily enough and we get another little Meta with the Jaguar/Dog pair like we did at the end of the 1st couple's story.
Honestly the 1st 50 chapters are excuses to focus on lightsaber smut but the 51+ chapters are far more plot heavy (yet lost no smut). Alas, literally half the pairings in this start as rape so be forewarned if that's a trigger. Overall for art/story/smut I would give this a 6/10 just cuz it began to bore me when it got plot heavy...that or pissed me the fudge off when it dealt with animal abuse scenes.
If you like this, try http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/hello_im_your_stalker/ cuz that one has half the chapters out as this one but still has twice the content/plot. So far I want both to hurry but that one is at least moving steadily forward #-.-)
