They're making a big deal over a tea lol

Tea is a big deal.
The history of tea has driven the world for the last few centuries. Its been the cause of exploration, revolutions, imperialism, and opium wars.
There's a reason the boston tea party was the start of the revolutionary war. Tea was an expensive and economy building/destroying resource. The tax on tea is the final straw that broke the camel's back as it were.
Don't mistake its current commoness for unimportance.

Britain took over India for gems, spices and tea. Assam and Darjeeling, both Indian teas, are still considered some of the finest in the world.
The opium wars started out as an economic war where the British flooded the Chinese underground with opium in exchange for tea to get around embargos. Controlling the flow of tea and opium within China became a huge political power play up to the 1820's and beyond when the first armed conflicts started to occur. This political unrest lasted up untill the 2nd world war. The blight of opium still affects China today with its radical drug laws.
You laugh over the thought of a Boston Tea Party, but many a huge world changing idea has been made over a cup of tea and the desire for one.

No no no i dont mean that way please dont misunderstand. I think it is the way i delivered my comment that makes everyone misunderstood me. I'm sorry, im not that well versed on english and i have difficulties expressing my opinions but i dont think of tea with 'no importance' or anything negative because I myself have fancies on drinking teas and I know that tea also took part on the world's history and culture. What i mean to point out is the nobles that are making a big deal or a fuss on the tea--- like hey nobles everyone has the right to drink that! They have the freedom to do so whatever they want so shut your damn traps! These noble women based their judgement on tea just simply because other people, also known to them as 'barbaric' or what they say so drink it and used it to degrade and humiliate the mc. Again, I'm sorry if I mislead anyone with my comment. Feel free to correct me and I'll do better next time :))

true tho
it's fine :) even I myself have a hard time saying something in english without sounding weird or rude since it really isn't my first language hahahaha
I also feel bad, sorry @rose never meant to laugh at tea. i was just in a very happy mood. never really knew tea was such a big factor in history (tho i do know about the opium part sidenote: i wasn't really that good in history class) I only know that it has been around for a very long time.
learned something new today. so i just sounded weirdly happy about that boston tea party thing hahahaha sorry i guess i'm too used to having very lighthearted or fun comment sections :)

@OP: Leo
Your english isn't bad. I just interpreted the tone/intent of your original post wrongly and went off on a rant by myself. I'm a huge tea and history enthusiast, so I took things a little too seriously. I am a native English speaker, but often get things like inflections wrong, especially in writing. I hate texting for that very reason. So no worries. My bad.

Likewise, I'm sorry for going off on a rant. I didn't mean to scold or accuse anyone of dissing tea or the boston tea party. It's just something I'm very enthusiastic about. You weren't rude or anything. If I wasn't American and been hearing this history all my life, I'd probably think the same thing about the Boston Tea Party the first time I heard of it.
Do you have any strange historical events from where you're from?
It only has 4 chapters
