Elise saw that even after taking revenge Linden was suffering. So she stopped him from walking down the same path he did previously. Fair enough .
But somehow the ending doesn't feel satisfying.The wrongs that were done should have been acknowledged.
Linden deserves closures and amends which he didn't get.
Also imo revenge should be taken on Emperor.
Is it just me or the plot has deviated from the novel ? It's like a new plot or something Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
I have a same feeling too, that they're kind of changing what's in the novel from here. It started at the part when Athy returned, there was suppose to be a trap for her to lure her from visitng the castle while Claude is out for the parade but the Claude in the parade is only a dummy. That's why Athy decided to visit the castle and the 2nd time she met her personal maid sitting in a couch nervously inside the room, then suddenly Claude was at the corner of the room waiting for her to appear. When she appeared Claude put a trap around the room that if she leaves it will cause a harm from the caster. I was disappointed when they changed that part when she returned, it was much more of a heartwarming.┗( T﹏T )┛
