I don't get it either. Is this a) a parallel universum in which taewha died or b) just the past where he died before a time travel where he saved taewha with the knowledge he gained in the current chapters?? Because as we know, now taewha is alive because he didn't die in that knife stabbing accident. Right?

Yes, and no. This chapter was a flashback to MC first life, in which ML dies, MC after learning the truth follows him. And in the current story line due to MCs interventions and changes, ML is still alive, but we are seeing what could’ve almost happened.

The recent ch 48 is the present time he eneded up waking up after the water scene because the ml died in the past so nun of this happened so now this is the present from when he time traveled and the ml survived so he didn’t know this would happen to him but the ml is coming to save him
