The status gap between the ML and FL is huge, and I don’t think he can truly protect her.
He’s way too loyal to the crown.
He should’ve been rude and way more intimidating toward the princess.
Like, come on, she’s just a powerless royal.
If he had any cunning, he could’ve found a way to send her packing.
But no, he’s out here trying to keep things calm while she takes out her rage on the FL and the kids.
He’s not doing nearly enough.
We need a second ML, y’all. Urgently.
This is one of my favorite mainly because FL, Hestia is so great at executing revenge.
I really like the political side of the revenge.
Hestia always thinks things through before making a move, and it pays off with a complete win every time.
Kael is so lucky to have her.
She’s fierce when it comes to protecting him, and the way she constantly shows her love through actions is just so touching.
Tsk. So unsatisfying.
Almost every chapter reminds us that Renatis is stronger than most men in her village, yet she doesn't know how to use that strength. She can't fight back because she's so used to being protected by Astella. I get that she's traumatized and feels helpless because of her father, but still, when she shot that arrow, it didn’t feel threatening at all. Just a weak attempt to scare him. Both Renatis and Theo are too naive. Honestly, she should’ve smacked her father with her full strength.
I’ll need to marinate on this story a bit longer.
The character growth for both the ML and FL is just too slow. Right now, neither of them seems ready to actually confront any antagonist in this story.
I’m not really feeling where the story’s going. Stuff happens, but none of it leads to anything meaningful. Honestly, I’m not even into the romance between the leads—I came for the revenge. I want to see Rachel setting the stage for Liz, but that payoff just isn’t coming through. The recent chapters have been kind of a drag.
Sure, Theo’s slowly realizing his feelings, and Liz is finally seeing that her sister’s been putting on a brave face for her. But they’re wasting time while Rachel does all the heavy lifting. And let’s be real—Rachel’s too soft for me. Her way of handling enemies just doesn’t hit. I wanted fire and strategy, not this low-stakes, slow pacing.
FL’s got solid support—except for that awful mother-daughter pair. But she’s way too naive… like, how do you go from a one-night stand to pregnancy and still have zero awareness?
Her dad and brother spoil her (since her mom’s gone), so no surprise she’s so sheltered. Some moments had me rolling my eyes hard. Really hoping she toughens up, grows some backbone, and cuts those two out. I’ll sit on it for now.
