I’m glad she didn’t end up with Satsuki. Mamura has the second male lead aura and based on Suzume always thinking about Satsuki whenever she’s with him, I expected her to end up with Satsuki because to me he is the main male lead. And as we all know, main male leads always get the girl somehow even though they hurt them. But the entire time when I was reading this, seeing how Suzume was trying so hard to convince herself to turn toward Mamura, I rooted for him. I really wanted her feelings to get to 100% for him. I was not happy that Satsuki, who had one-sidely cut Suzume’s feelings off, wanted to get her back just because he regretted it. I thought he didn’t have the right anymore to impose on their developing relationship. If Suzume had chosen Satsuki, she would not have moved forward at all. People’s feelings change, that’s the reality of it. And the fact that Suzume’s did start to change meant the plot was following a somewhat realistic response to a rejection. I like that. After Suzume chose Mamura, I felt that they didn’t get enough time together to be lovey-dovey seeing as most of this manga was spent on Suzume and Satsuki’s struggles.
I can understand though why others would want Suzume to end up with Satsuki. Simply because we spent so much time reading about their struggles to connect their feelings, that it is somewhat unsatisfying that after all of the effort, Suzume ended up with this other guy who was hardly in the equation. Our focus was fixiated on the assumed couple and so when the assumed couple didn’t end up together, it’s disappointing. I get it. I was slightly surprised and disappointed too, but that doesn’t change that I’m glad Mamura got a chance. Only wish is we should get more of their relationship at 100%. I feel we only got to see Suzume’s developing feelings for him, we didn’t actually get to see much of her full feelings for him. The little extra at the end there wasn’t enough.
Overall, this was a good read.
I actually would have loved to see more of the first story. Too bad it was so short.
It’s a cute story but I can’t relate at all. Finding attraction to a middle school student is out of the ordinary. Personally, speaking from my perspective, that’s weird.
I’m assuming their relationship was platonic until he was of age....
What age would you guys think he was when she whispered into his ear about the hotel fee? Freshmen year high school? Age of consent in Japan is also odd too...so...maybe their relationship is passable in Japan?

sorry, i think i misinterpreted your comment :/ this is one of my favorite romance mangas and i really love this couple, and id be lying if i said i dont like all the sex scenes, if i were you id give it a shot, it's a cute story to say the least
You did misinterpret slightly but it's on me for asking such a random question. Anyway, I did try to read it seriously but I lost interest after repeatedly seeing sex after sex and not much on character development. I guess we were looking for different things in this manga and I didn't find what I wanted. I'm happy you did manage. Enjoy reading (or rereading) the manga.
This manga is like a sweet and love-filled break from other mangas that leave us weeping lol. We come here to fill our hearts with the warm happiness between two lovestuck partners who’s relationship is more stable than our emotional state

This manga is layer after layer of dramatic cliches. It’s so awful it’s actually comedic. How did the author make reading a 7 chapter manga feel like reading a messy one shot. It’s truly a rare talent. I’m left kind of speechless.
