he didnβt create the nice side, it was always a part of him but he intensively hid the night hyung in order not so scare jisung off/not hurt him. every instance that side of himself was shown, he thought it was pushing jisung away. night hyung didnβt die off in the end, both sides of them assimilated into one personality. to sum it up, the hyung realized jisung will love him no matter what and accepts the dark parts of him. finally understanding that, the hyung embraces his negative traits (possessiveness/aggression)

While he is unfamiliar with the day hyung who's kind. So I got confused like....if the night hyung is the "original" personality green hair is familiar with, and we know hyung is being kind to not scare jinsung, so got me thinking the "kind" day hyung was the result of him splitting, hiding his "real/original" personality (night hyung) away.
And in addition, I dont think he only has 2 personalities in general. In the dream sequence stuff, it looks like he has created multiple other personalities (i.e., when he mentioned he can act as a brother, a father figure, etc) that he has since "killed" since they no longer serve a purpose, therefore got me wondering if the "kind" hyung was just one of those personalities that just took over completely and consuming the "original" night hyung, which was why there was that fight between them for control.
But then the story read as if day hyung was the original and then I just got confused. Or did I interpret it completely wrong cuz I'm just wanting to know who's original.

the nightmare was an allegory that he always masks himself in order to people please (mainly jisung) or show others his rougher sides (the cousin) based on who he gets along/clashes with. since heβs such a people pleaser and perfectionist, the extremes of his personality supposedly split until he could create the most acceptable version of himself. but by suppressing his desires so much, itβs caused him to create vastly different and conflicting selves that he ended up creating multiple different people internally, to cope with the intrusiveness and desire. so the dead parts of him donβt matter in this case, because those parts exist in the day hyung and night hyung and were categorized in either one- at least thatβs how i interpreted it. both personalities are the original, but because of these things, they both believed they had a right to take over when they were two sides of the same coin. one always existed with the other, night hyung was suppressed the most though

Not sure if its story telling itself or the translations but the beginning of this gave me a major headache trying to read. Like the translations' pretty bad already but then the beginning itself, felt a little choppy. Felt like I was thrusted into the middle of a long on-going plot and I'm not sure who is who when it feels like I'm supposed to already know who's where doing what.
