she forgot she is gay...

Not just because of that lol. First of all, gay marriage isn't legal in Korea. There's hardly any gay history other than a few monks and emperors in Korea, mainly because when Imperial Japan came over they destroyed the majority of our written history and artifacts, and even in what was recorded, homosexuality wasn't mentioned. Korea only very recently became a first world country too, so a lot of people are very traditional or were raised so, because that's how you survive. After being enslaved by Japan, the Korean War happened. A lot of people are still recovering - the slaves who are still alive haven't even been compensated by Japan. With that in mind, a lot of people are raised conservatively. There's a reason Korea has the highest student suicide rate - your value is put on your education, luck, money, or beauty. And the spread of Christianity hasn't helped either.
Also, a lot of cities are openly homophobic, and it's literally illegal to teach people anything about homosexuality in some cities.
Y'all are acting like this is the west. Korea is notoriously homophobic and transphobic. While in America gay bars were common in the 20's, and in Europe there were gay establishments even earlier, the literal first gay establishment in Korea was opened in the 90's. The first public gay "marriage" in Korean history was in 2013. Please stop using your experience from other countries and cultures to relate to a story that takes place in Korea and acting as if you understand characters and their struggles as Koreans in Korea.
