The author tries really hard to write meaningful story so I find it sad someone say she tried to make them ship Haesoo with Joowon when author just tried to portray their past so we can understand character better
u do know this is a story about a love triangle right? the main topic of discussion is who haesoo should be with. this is a common thing in media. have u seen or read twilight? this whole franchise is based off of team jacob or team edward. no one is shallowing it. i didnt start reading this solely to pick a side, but since its a love triangle, that is to be expected.
And it's sad because a lot of readers shallow this story only to ship wars and teams. When it shows so many other issues.

Such literature is really not of my taste... I prefer more classic ones.
But this author talks and shows other issues. The characters on their own are interesting.
They didn't try to make you ship Joowon and Haesoo together with flashback. They just try to make us understand their situation and actions better.

duh i know that. im aware of what the flashback is for. its supposed to make me sympathize with him and understand the depths of their relationship more bc of all the struggles they went thru, but as i said, it doesnt change my mind that they shouldnt be together,, hence why i said what i said. it doesnt make me sympathize with them or make me think they’re relationship is ok just bc they got in fights in shit. it changes nothing for me

She just shows us the bigger picture so we have better insight in characters. Author doesn't try to make you ship Haesoo and Joowon with this chapter. Nothing less, nothing more.

Retrospections are there to give characters more depth.

I like this story and all three characters that's why it's upsetting for me when people care more about ships, teams than characters' development, plot etc. For me every one of them can go separate way as long as we will see some progress in them.
