before the dialogue above, mc admits he did approach him to use him as inspiration and that he only had sex with him because of that and that’d he never be interested in ml if it wasn't for that, but also adds that its not true anymore and he genuinely likes him now, then they argue back and forth and end w the ml saying “i dont wanna be angry w u anymore” so mc tries to hold onto him but ml told him not to chase after him and that if he genuinely likes him like he says he does, to do what he says and leave him alone then he’ll actually believe that mc had liked him even a little bit :(

But weren't they sex friends to begin with? None of them were aiming for a relationship, things just changed along the way. I understand he's hurt, but still....
well ml was misunderstanding the whole situation and thinking that mc likes him - so think abt it like this. ml slept with him because he thought mc likes him and by sleeping w him, he thought that means he confirmed they have mutual feelings which is why ml thought they were dating while mc thought they were sex friends (cause we knew he never actually liked him but ml doesnt know that)

save their progress= save their memories from previous games
Their memories from previous game= breaking the 4th wall, it means knowing they are a character in the game
without inserting the cassette tape= They no longer knows they are a character in a game they became a regular NPC
additional: If any of you plays video games there is a "Load game" and "New Game" option, click the load game and you will see your progress where you left it off completely intact, so the inserting the casette tape into the music player is equivalent to "load game" option.

Multiple cassettes for each player as you can see, in that one scene where they took the blue haired's cassette tape(he is unintentionally putting in the tape every prologue in car remember?) after that the blue haired does not remember anything anymore and the same goes for the character with glasses
