Honestly, compared to other dad's from different stories, he's not that bad. Doesnt overall excuse it but it was mostly indifference and said some mean things when he was unaware she was there but he was venting, again doesn't excuse it. But parents are also human and can make bad mistakes but need to genuinely apologize for it and he is trying but he is super awkward about it. Needs to try harder. That was for half her life and other half genuinely acts loving and loves her very much for second half of her life and is unaware she was hurting or that she had heard him. She was very good at hiding her emotions so he remained oblivious until later. So no revenge no karma but still hasn't forgiven caused she doesnt feel like he did anything wrong, but he did by hurting her feelings, she just needs to realize that.
