As much as he’s her father, he’s still the emperor. It’s not as simple as dad I don’t want the throne. Also I think there might be some backstory to the queen’s family or something because look at her supporters, shady people who literally told the prince to slaughter everyone. The princess is sheltered but at least none of her aides are directly manipulating her, maybe her dad blocked them or something
No but she can try a little harder to show her parents she genuinely doesn't want the throne instead of crying after barely one word in.She's literally the most belived and pampered person.She can twist the people however she want.
