I mean yeah, but just because you want to be held by someone doesn't mean you're mentally prepared, and being forced into having sex when you don't feel ready nor consent is technically rape, even if you love that person., In my opinion, I would honestly never forgive my partner if they did that to me, the loss of trust would be severe, I wouldn't be able to picture myself safe around them anymore, and I would be scared to be in a room with them alone. Being raped is genuinely very traumatizing, and it makes me really sad reading it so much in yaoi manga, because ik the reality of it, but even though I never usually say anything when it happens in yaoi manga because it's such a common thing, and people will try to bring up excuses to defend it such as "it's just a book", or "if you don't like it don't read it", (which is absolutely repulsive to me) it still makes me feel uncomfortable to say the very least, not just that it's so common, but because it's so common that people begin to accept it wholeheartedly and become nonchalant about something so serious, and even get the idea that this type of things is ok, when it's not, it should never be. Of course, I don't blame the author, it's their book and they can do whatever they want, it's their world to let their imagination run wild, and I wouldn't want to take that away from them, I just wish there was an awareness disclaimer or that it wasn't such a common trend.
