Why does the sode story feel like it has a mpre complicated and stressful plot than the main story

I'm sorry... But as someone who enjoys yhe begging part, this was a let down. It hurt so much when he brokenup with his partner and basically said that their relationship was doomed from the start. Like??? You were the one who uninitiated this romantic relationship and now you're just dropping out like that?? You couldn't even talk yo your partner about your worries regarding the relationship and instead decided to break up with him like it was that easy to just let go of a relationship you've built for years.
You even got married and was building a family with someone when you realized and decided that you just couldn't do it. The fuck? And just like that with a few sorries and tears were just going to accept everything??

I keep thinking about this story lol. The chasing arc - even tho we know it'll be shorter in a manga - is non-existent. The only satisfaction I have is this seme the first one to croak (may it be I am evil) lol. I asked how long did they break up, and got an answer of 11 years. Like heck, this seme already has a family for 11 years. He left the uke just like that when he was the one to start it all, and he was the one who married but then when he found the uke, he didn't grovel?? Yikes
I liked how they changed this part of the novel. I wasn't a huge fan that Helios was the one to talk some sense to Hestia and made it seem like Kael didn't want Diana to be dethroned because of Helios. It felt like Helios had so much influence in the decisions that were made and in the patching up of their relationship.
It lowkey felt as if Helios begging Kael was the reason why he put a stop to the plan of dethroning Diana (I know that's not the case but because of that conversation with Helios it sort of felt like that).
I would have liked a bit more withdrawal from Hestia's part just because she's a simp for Kael 24/7 and this is one of the rare moments where we see her really question everything and focus more on her feelings than Kael's. I also would have liked to see Kael scared and rattled that Hestia might disappear. Because Hestia has been a constant for him and I think the thought that someone whose always been there might actually leave is a scary thought.
But I'll take this over Helios showing up and talking to Hestia ╮(￣▽￣)╭
