People who've never read LIAI or don't remember the plot, good for you. You can just accept this chapter as it is and focus on them being happy again and the romance.

But for some us, this is a harder to stomach. And the more I sit on it the angrier I get for Hyesung. The last few chapters feels like it's spitting at Hyesung's face.

It's so convenient that the author conveniently forgot/glossed over Hyesung's traumatic childhood and portraying the useless mother as a sweet but lonely grandmother.

Unfortunately, when writing a series, it's hard to change the narrative. And when an author chooses to do so in the dumbest way possible, the long time readers have a right to be pissed.

You can be happy for the story, but you can't blame us for being mad for the bs that's being written.

LIAI has forgiven Dojin for so many fucking shit that he's done. But not this time. You cannot claim to love someone and disrespect them and invalidate their feelings and their choices at the same time.

Dojin choosing to keep in contact with Hyesung's mom against his back? That's not sweet. That's a betrayal. A spit to Hyesung's face. That is an act showing that you have no regard for Hyesung's pain, the trauma he went through, and his choice of letting go of that pain and trauma. Hyesung was brave enough to ask his mom why he was abandoned and accept his mom's stupid answer. Do you know how much courage it takes to let go of a mother who you loved for the longest time even though they abandoned you and finally accepting that it's enough, and choosing to be happy, move on, and create a family- the kind of family he never had.


And then for that fucking family to betray you for fucking years??? And forming a bond, a relationship with the mother who abandoned you???

If Hyesung's mother had any kind of love left for him, he would have respected his choice and left. Never show up or form bonds with Hyesung's family. That is how she can atone for her sins. If Hyeusng decides to forgive her or look for her, that's his choice. But this??? This forced connection because the husband and son likes the grandma??? This is a fuck you to Hyesung's face.
