I did not know it was was a thing, I just looked it up and apparently it caused by blunt trauma from repeated impacts in combat sports, especially boxing.

No friggin way! This story keeps surprising me; it's way more layered and has a lot more depth than I first thought. You know I can't read through angst without spoilers! I thought this would be a classic reincarnation story, although a lot more traumatizing and angsty. In the beginning, Carcel was shown as this airheaded archetype, but he is so multifaceted, too! I might have to start reading the novel.

So true! I actually didnt like carcel in the beginning but after finding out about their previous lifes,I actually kinda feel sorry that she's using him without knowing the sacrifices he made for her in her other 2 lifetimes.

My guess is that he felt too guilty to face him. He felt underserving of even being in his presence when realizing the weight of his actions and how awful he treated him over multiple misunderstandings. However, I think it’s ridiculous that he was shocked by the eventual outcome of Sejin’s suicide when they were bonded and he knew he felt miserable. He was probably too caught up in his own guilt to really think about what Sejin may have been experiencing and thought it better to just completely be out of his life, since he didn’t deserve to even face him. He might’ve also been scared of that eventual confrontation, having to see the way Sejin looked at him in fear and disgust when he still loved him would’ve been gut wrenching, so maybe he was also running away from the consequences to only realize after the fact that he ended up having made an even bigger mistake when Sejin killed himself.

Yeah fr bruh and scientifically speaking, the rectum is literally full of bacteria like E. coli since that’s where poop passes. If they’re gonna do it raw and no cleaning? Instant higher risk for infections, stds like hepatitis or warts, and even bacterial STIs. Urine’s mostly sterile when it’s still inside but once it’s out it can pick up bacteria too. Maybe even newer bacteria might get introduced due to urine touching what it shouldn't—the rectum. So, doing that with the other stuff is basically double trouble for the body. This ain’t me hating on anyone, love who you love, do what you do, but I'm just saying hygiene + protection is a life saver for real (it's still dangerous tho, but it at least reduces the risk, make sure to always consult doctors for safety).
