This is my favorite genre, and I'm so annoyed by it I'm only checking in every few chapters. somehow, literally nothing changes every time I come back. How can the plot be exactly where it was 10 chapters ago? such a waste. I'll stick on because people are saying it gets better but man, is it even worth it at this point?
EXACTLY. I read first 7ish chapters, went straight to the spoilers and decided to put this on hold, I read this again after a while and still nothing changes. I literally scrolled the first few panels of ch28 and cursed under my breath “fuck, again?”

I need some plot. like come on. something needs to happen. i get slow burns, i do, but slow burns with a plot. slow burns where something else is happening. skip beat is the original slow burns but it at least has other shit going on, other character development. please. i want to like this.
is that he literally could have just fucking TOLD her that he planned to remarry her. i mean, fuck him, and she shouldn't, but he's not even giving her the option of that decision. he's leaving her in the dark that he wants to remarry her and just assuming she'll be fine with that. (like, totally dude, she'll want remarry you after you fuck with her family, tell her to accept the mistress you're cheating on her with, divorce, and then remarry her solely so she can do the work your mistress clearly cannot.)
and to add with Sovieshit's crazy ass plans, he wants Navier to adopt his and the baby's mistress

but the quality falls of real quick around 140 something. goes into the terrible grammar/sentence structure/translation chinese webcomics are known for... not sure why this keeps happening :(

probs one of the best chinese soaps ive seen on here. (and holy lord are there a lot of bad ones) some things are kinda unbelievable but at least the characters are consistent and semi-believable.
i had such high hopes for this series but its gotta go with "uwu the slaves are evil for killing the people who enslaved them uwu" fuck right the hell off. i have never been so mad reading any series on this entire site. maybe i'll come back to this in a few chapters but if the message is still "but think of how the poor nobles feel uwu" i am dropping this forever. rest in piss every fucking person in this series (excluding the monocle professor) (also no hate to the translator, i wish i had the emotional integrity to translate this garbage fire)
I feel so too. I hope though that the message wasn't "uwu poor old nobles" but "In every group that is suppose to be for good, there'll always exist a shitty minority that fucks everything up" or something like that. Hopefully that'll be the wall the mc has to go through for this arc only and we'll get to the ACTUAL problems soon
my point is that a class of people that can own other people are inherently evil. it's not a minority. it's all of them by definition. that's what irritates me so much.
normally i don't shit on translators because they pull the real weight on this site but i mean this honestly. i would literally rather not read this story than have to read this ""translation"" (with the heaviest air quotes imaginable). this is awful. please do not upload again.
