why the fuck would you start with something interesting (heroine starting in a game where she isn't actually weirdly adored, and she maybe actually has to work at it or treat them like people and not dating sims) and go actually? nah let me show you a bunch of tedious boring ass bullshit that doesnt fucking matter at all (i dont care about what a bunch of grade schoolers are doing in their free time. i dont care. at all. get on with the story you promised us)
pick one. either be an interesting twist on the isekai genre. or a fantasy yandere-ish? remains to be seen? romance. both are good concepts, but you need to pick one.
im not saying the "grade schooler fantasy genre" doesnt have its readers, i assume it does, but the FIRST FUCKING CHAPTER has them grown up like why tease us like this. PICK ONE.
i feel like theres legit no plot anymore. its just scene after scene with absolutely no connection. nothing thats set up is ever paid off. we're hundreds of chapters in with basically 0 development. ill still keep reading, but its a bit disappointing.
Nah, the plot is still there, but the development is so slow due to the slow pace and short releases that we've already forgotten most of it. Currently, Ren is dealing with trauma related to Cedric and a friend of his who died. I assume it’s probably due to bullying that went wrong, and he blames himself for it or something. Also, I hope they give Kyoko a big break that will make her famous in Hollywood as well.
Before I thought MC was just an airhead (pretty par for the course with this kind of series) but after these last chapters, I'm actually starting to feel bad for her. She's spent a decade or more around people who genuinely don't care about how she's feeling or what she wants, just that THEY get to be around her.
She's gotten used to be ignored and cooped up at home and it's just broken her down and she doesn't have the will to fight back anymore. We see her defend Helen that she's not being to blame for being attacked and THE NEXT DAY she is attacked and immediately thinks it's her fault. When that jackass grabbed her arm and started making assumptions about her she just assumed it was her fault... She's just completely broken. Nobody cares about how she feels, aside from maybe Helen and possibly the og heroine.
:( Nobody listens to her, nobody actually cares about her, nobody is interested in what she actually wants. Nobody actually loves this poor girl.
Idk what the end game is for this, probably Raid but what a sad ending that will be. She's spent her entire time knowing him not wanting to be with him, and the story is just gonna force it to work because she's not allowed to have things go her way.
After seeing Helen have the normal reaction one would have, and feeling sorry for MC, that's what sealed it for me - MC is used to not being seen as a person. She's a doll, an item, a "thing" for others to possess. Maybe we'll get a curveball GL with Helen, that's the only good ending I can possibly see.
Both in this life AND her past life she’s seemingly had these complicated issues that are only being compounded by literally everyone around her keeping her “safe” in the most unhealthy way and it’s definitely created a psychosis and self-confidence loop that is only made worse by everyone “protecting” her.
Gotta say, I really love it and am intrigued by every chapter introduced.

why didn't he tell mc that his younger brother is literally insane and enjoys torturing him?? like "stay away from him" tf is that kind of warning? why be so vague??? "hes trying to kill everything i care about so please stay away from him. he'll act innocent but he's killed before" two fucking sentences is that so hard.
Some manhwas just lack communication it's so frustrating like JUST TELL HIM THE TRUTH BOI
I think thats gonna paint an opposite effect. We've seen how the prince act towards mythan and he just desperately trying to avoid him. But if he met the younger brother acting warm and fuzzy but the crown prince said "my younger brother is insane hes always wanted to take everything away from me" which one does Mythan wanted to believe?
