Yeaaah I noticed that too, but I guess it's better that way and honestly the kdrama is better ; the characters's personality is more realistic in the kdrama (for me) and I like the dynamic between the two ml

Did you actually read it or did you stop when you saw the uke cheat? bc at the end it shows why the uke did what he did, plus the uke wouldn’t had know any better especially after knowing what happened to him as a child, than with the life style he was living it would only make sense that he would think that it was normal to behave like that, although he still did wrong he was acting off his knowledge and mental health.
if you reread it you might get a better understanding to it but the plot is a bit different from what you’ll normally read

when i started reading this i thought gene died or that they broke up on bad terms or a misunderstanding which cause them to not contact eo for decades...dont get me wrong the plot is great and all but personally it would've been a bit more better(?) if gene had died or something and like trevor was still so much in love with him that he stayed loyal to him even after all these years...
