I don't like the way you said it but I agree with your statement at some point, that the fact that he did well by saving her life over the baby...she can have another one if she is alive. But if you expect and desire someone with your whole heart( anything not necessary pregnancy), don't you think the deception would be as proportional as your desire to have it if you lose it all...I don't think it about the fact that you love or don't love your husband. It's more about the suffering of losing something you really want and that can make you irrational... it's sad
I think to Chloe, it's a matter of picking a choice to potentially kill their already growing child rather than pushing through the pain and sickness together as a whole family that could also potentially save both of them, also I think that rather than seeing that fetus as just a fetus, she sees it as her precious child that's no different from a born child
I understand, pragmatically I would also agree that mother life comes first, however.. as a mother of a little baby girl I can share that in my experience, if you very early on see your fetus as your child you start creating that hormonal bond with your baby even before it is born, even in those first weeks/months. I had a scare during pregnancy where I thought I was having a miscarriage and let me tell you the panic and fear is real and so is the trauma.. She lost a baby and a love she can never get back.. her pain and grief should not be minimized to “dramatic”, “mere fetus” and “just try again”. And also be mindful that although this is fiction, you might have readers that might have gone through that and will get triggered by those words. Let’s be mindful :)
