I feel like everyone hate the prince but when i reread this i just felt like i undrstand how he feels and want him and tia to live happily and kill jiun ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I finished the LN and although I was kinda happy that Tia finally got what she wanted, it also feels like she was just gonna end up with him no matter what. The other leads weren’t even given a chance (heck half the novel I even forgot about them since they weren’t even mentioned) so it’s like I had no choice but to just ship Tia with CP since there’s no one else.

While I do get it that some of his anger was the result of the poison from Duke Zena, he really did hate Tia in the beginning (so he has this anger foundation already even if our girl didn’t do anything). It’s like, Tia just HAD to undergo super traumatic events so she can change the others’ attitudes. All throughout the novel she exhibited signs of trauma, but nah, repeated sweet words from the CP would make all this go away. Also, it’s also mentioned in the novel that her poison and the prince’s were kinda the same—she also experienced mood changes, irritability, and being quick to anger, but then we see her being all composed and efficient at work anyway, only losing her mind when she lost her father.
Moreover, we see in the 1st timeline that barely any recognition is given to Tia’s work in the empire, but then in the 2nd timeline (and therefore also in the 1st TL since he apparently was doing it since he was little) the prince is always swamped with work, and that’s before he even met Jieun. So, in the 1st TL, he just conveniently forgot how difficult it is to handle an empire much more so for Tia, who was under constant pressure?
Especially after reading and comparing this with The Villainess Turns the Hourglass wherein everyone is still in character in both timelines (sure, circumstances changed bc the FL also changed the future, but the essence of their characters was the same, so there’s no feeling of disconnect for the readers). I honestly cried for her back story and then...poof, Tia x CP forever lol
To make myself feel better, I just think of the 2nd timeline as a parallel world, so that the CP is totally a completely different person than the rapist CP.
