i loved the story between the concubine and the mage, so i find the rings to be really precious because it signifies the love between them. (especially after all those hardships they faced & HOWTHEY GOT SEPERATED AND COULDNT BE TOGETHER, my heart ;-;)
the fact that the princess and prince is now wearing it despite not loving each other (i know the empress forced it on them but still) really bothers me and i wish it could be returned to the mage or be worn by them went they actually like/love each other... the rings are now just used as a convenience and it just doesn't sit well with me bleh

That’s very unlike that the mage is dead since the concubine only died so early on due to having a frail body. But since the tradition of the treasure began 10 years ago she probably died only ten years ago and so he would still be live.
Honestly like they treasured it so much because it had some history and meaning to it for them, so I don't get why the hell she would just give them to just anyone if they won't treat it as the same. Like they were totally disrespecting the rings.
