CALL ME CRAZY BUT! that other character might possibly be transfem... like just from the way they talked ab wanting to be loved as a woman, even if they meant it in a like. Be seen as normal way i just have the feeling that they are.. idk though... this manga was so unserious in a good way
i think this shouldnt be labeled as bl or anything, i think they did love eachother but not necessarily romantically (would be weird since its a 30 year old and a middle schooler) i think their love transcends romantic or even just platonic love, maybe similar to familial but who knows and who gives a fuck because this was beautiful despite it being such a short read
sorry to be this guy but as someone who struggles with mental illness and thoughts of suicide this hit way harder than i liked it would, that line he said in the truck about the son of his coworker who committed suicide, "id want to atleast not to blame him but to love him for all he suffered" really struck me in the gut and i immediately started bawling

GODDDDD. ive read this before but decided to reread the whole thing up to the latest chapters and god. GOD. seeing their relationship progress from this stupid awkward highschool puppylove to them being just so naturally fond of eachother is so. AGGHH. i love how domestic they are now and my favorite thing in the world is when authors portray the feeling of such devoted and natural love so well.... like it doesnt feel awkward at all but at the same time its awkward enough to feel real? Man he just sayin shit. I love them so much ugghhj
on the other note! this is like what only the 2nd time that theres been a sapphic side story (technically) in a bl ive seen thoughhh its kind of dissapointing that it includes the grown ass woman who took his virginity when he was in MIDDLE SCHOOL
