I don't know if the author really realizes it or means it, but this is kinda like a racist message by putting a character with dark hair and skin and making them a villain while the white kid is righteous. Well according to wikipedia it's a thing in South Africa, so she was probably from somewhere around there. You really shouldn't be using manga to research this, though. Japanese culture is very hands-off with greetings, so a lot of western greetings, like the english hugging people their close to, get exaggerated to things like mouth-kisses.

Some Russians do it but definitely not with someone they're meeting for the first time, more like greeting inside the family I guess? I know one Russian gymnast who kisses her dad before her performance (her dad is also her instructor so he stands there too)

well I'm from Portugal and we also don't do that here but there are greetings such as kisses on the lips in the familly sometimes or if people are so friendly those are called colored friends...

In the US it's common for people to kiss their friends on the cheeks or hug them as a greeting.

ehhh, as someone who lives in the US kissing people on the cheek is more for family, *really* close friends, or romantic partner thing. It's not really something you do casually.

They do get money out of it. The more well known they are (having popular projects helps a lot), the more they get donations and money from the publicity on their official website.

No one bullied anyone wtf, both teams picked up the project unknowingly and simultaneously; DNA released theirs 4 hours prior to solace. Then DNA's leader went to Solace's leader and demanded they drop the project even though both teams picked it up at the same time. Solace offered a collab or that both teams do their own releases (pretty normal among teams ie fiancée of the wizard or I want to be you even just for a day) but instead DNA has a fit, saying no. Then they framed themselves as a victim and that Solace sniped (this isn't sniping)

To be fair, none of them has any right on the manhwa. They should just do what they want and act like actual adults. If both of them take the project or quit it then fine. No need to make any drama other this.

Of course they're demanding solace drop the projects, solace snipe on DNA. DNA RELEASE IT FIRST.

Not only donations. When fans go on their official website they get money from the publicity too. Of course it is not a lot, but it is enought to keep the website afloat and to bring a little pocket money. As for the ownership war, since the money is already not much they try to keep it from going to multiple other sources. Well, I believe this is what is going on anyway
