Tbh in the last chapter when the policeman appeared, I thought he would consider maybe becoming a police officer. With his strong desire to "catch bad guys", wouldn't that be a suitable goal to aspire towards? But I guess the story has to be depressing to the very end huh.
You're right this would've been an amazing ending but as many people told him , he was mentally sick . If he got the help he needed he could become anything he put his mind into.
