Note : I read this spoiler like weeks ago so may have some unsure parts but the idea is there.
So I read some other spoilers below and apparently when the mc was ard 15 yrs old? He got ambushed by an esper who urgently needed guiding cause he was dying and he r@ped the mc. Eventually the esper still died though, and the esper's brother blamed the mc for his brother's death. So the brother of the dead esper locked up and imprinted the mc to torture and SA the mc. From what I read from the spoilers, this went on for 4 yrs I think.
After that an esper tried to save the mc and successfully did but he died after saving the mc. (unsure what happen, that's just what the other person said)
So the mc, not knowing much abt what's going on and how things are like currently, he initially stayed cooped up at his house, probably due to everything that happened.
WHAT!!! That's crazy!! So that's what happened. Okay, I take back what I said. I'm really sorry that I wasn't patient enough to let this story cook. That's totally understandable and definitely explained why he's portrayed like that. I really just thought that he's some common dense and naive mc trope that I hated. Thank you so much for correcting me. Now, I'll prepare my heart for the angst.
