You'd be surprised, living in Japan, Yuri and Yaoi works are advertise just as much. I was honestly shocked that they were in plan view and put out on display so blatantly. Sure jump is popular, only because it's viewd as normal, but heaps of people openly like yaoi and yuri here, it's wild, but awesome.

Mmm not necessarily, it's in all convenient stores, and of course online, so people can access them everywhere. Sure some smaller bookstores may have a tiny manga section, but from the ones I've visited, they have yaoi, especially Dj, they're super popular here.
YOur assumption is nice and all, but I guess from your point of view, speculating that only shounen jump and harems are popular; it may be what your exposed to in your country? Maybe shounrn is preferred in your country, but Japan is not the same. It was created here for a reason, because there is a huge audience here, and I'm glad it became global so I was able to discover it

I really don’t care if my wording seemed rude to you or to whomever else will see it in the future as rude or awkward. My point was still valid. It’s far more common in big cities in general to see yaoi/yuri manga being promoted with book sales, book signings, games, etc. than it is to see such things in smaller, more rural areas.

And aside from convenience stores selling magazines with yuri/yaoi manga strips in them and bookstores selling manga, there isn’t much of a selling point (as far as I can see) for BL isekai manga because the harem or general straight isekai (with annoying female leads) is so popular at this time. People thought it would calm down in 2019, but the popularity continued to skyrocket. Most of the popular BL/yaoi manga are school life, working or working Alpha x Omega pairings, and a few fantasy types if you ignore the rape/sexual assault-based ones. It would be great if a really good manga author/artist would pick up the pen and write an awesome BL isekai adventure manga, but I can’t see that happening with the current flow of popular BL manga in Japan. That was all I meant in my original comment to the person who started the topic.

So I'm not picky about other people's different way of saying things, but your first comment stated that (from what most people would assume) ALL Japan's bisexual manga wouldn't sell well. Then your later argument was Yoai, and Yuri manga would only sell well in major populace/tourist heavy cities, and another point about harem/hentai being what you would be more likely to see in CV (You didn't specify if that included rural areas as well). I should point out the fact that Japan is over 90% URBAN communities. Your "valid points" are just your subjective opinion it appears, so please don't spread misinformation, and check your sources, because we still have a very young age bracket that visits this free manga reading cite.(づ￣ ³￣)づ That's all I have to say~yiiii

Well, those were simply your interpretations and assumptions. I never said anything in specifics, so thus it should not be taken as specifics. I’m not “spreading misinformation,” I’m merely sharing my viewpoint.

And young people must be so dumb (from your opinion) to not be able to look up stuff and check for facts by themselves. Regardless of their “young age,” if they’re on here, that means they either have data and or an Internet connection and they have the intelligence level to search things on the Internet. Young people have the ability to fact check if they want. But I never made any points that wouldn’t be taken as subjective personal opinion.
