The “prophetic” book is sus b/c it’s written from Elencia’s POV. Of course, she would paint Philomel in a bad light and make her out to be a villain, even though Phil was a day-old newborn when they were switched at birth! The description is: “What you and your mother did,” which is absolutely absurd to make Phil an accomplice as a newborn! Can she really take that book at face value with it being so accusatory and one-sided? ╮(￣▽￣)╭ I think Elencia is really a manipulator, who also regressed or something b/c she’s constantly surprised by how things are playing out… as if she anticipates it to be one way but it happens a diff way! She’s really cocky and arrogant for someone who grew up in the countryside with nothing! Where’d that kind of attitude come from so suddenly? She’s not the kindhearted protagonist or innocent young lady everyone “thinks” she is! They’re all influenced by her somehow (maybe her divine powers), but we will have to wait and see what tricks she has up her sleeve! IJS (▰˘◡˘▰)
I think the hot emperor loves Phil as his child… well, in his own way, especially since she changed her behavior from her past life. She is making hasty decisions w/o listening to what he’s saying, which I think is unfair since she knows that the novel changed when she changed! But… there’s always a BUT… I can’t honestly say that I would have been so forgiving either! RT ( ´◡ _ ◡`) She can, at minimum, hear him out w/o already having a preconceived notion about what he’s saying since things have changed drastically from the “prophetic” book’s description!
I love Phil’s biological father and her brothers (they’re all hot, too)! They livened up the place… living in the state guest palace with no one the wiser. Isn’t magic great?! LOL ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ I wonder how diff her personality would been if she grew up with them b/c she already displays similarities to their eccentric ways, even w/o growing up in the mage tower. Sure, she learned to be “mature” as a 9 or 10 year-old noble, b/c that’s how it was in the palace. But, I think she would have and will be happier with her bio family if she can let go of the biased narrative in that book from Elencia’s perspective! RMEs (◕ ⌒◕) IMO… it took far too long to ask her “master of the mage tower” father about the prophecy book, since he (if anyone) will be able to shed some insight on its existence… maybe!
Also, IMO… LeGuin isn’t much diff from the emperor since he doesn’t understand emotions (gotta be heartbreaking to think neither father can give her the love she craves), but at least he and his sons are there for her as family as much as they can be with such a twisted way of living in the mage tower. They were basically conceived via LeGuin‘s donor sp€rm and I don’t think he was prepared to raise children, per se! Now, he’s maybe curious b/c the daughter is more delicate than the rough-handled boys! LOL
One last thing: I want that granny nanny gone for good! She was already abusing Phil as a child and now she’s back with a foul mouth and insults! (˘﹏˘╬) I’m sure Elencia is keeping her there with an ulterior motive, so she is taking advantage of the opportunity. But GET RID OF HER! Periodttttt!
Edit: Reading the description of the novel and manhwa, I think it’s a misnomer to say the FL was conspiring with her mother to impersonate the imperial princess. Again, she was swapped as a newborn, so how can she be be in conspiracy with anyone?（￣へ￣）
Sheesh…Is it too much to ask for a bit of character development for the FL after 39 chapters? (￣∇￣") I mean, just a small amount will suffice to keep this story from becoming a major bore! Trying to hang in there, but… (⌒▽⌒)
Plz explain why the ML wants revenge against SoEun! ( ´◡ _ ◡`) They were both kids when his parents died, and she had no control over whether to move away or not! Now, he’s back from living abroad and she doesn’t yet remember who he is, which is funny b/c he is falling for her instead… beyond his childhood crush! (づ￣ ³￣)づ
He doesn't even want revenge he really treasured her a lot in their childhood
I feel like the story started with him having some weird secret vendetta against her, blaming her for something in the past. But he clearly can't whole heartedly do it and he hasn't thought of it in awhile.
Nooo ever since they were young he realized early that she doesn't deserve to be blamed. When he saw her again he just wanted to know if she remembered him and the accident. That's it. No revenge. The only thing he probably blames her for is when she suddenly disappeared, leaving him
I guess the expectation for me was from the first episode when he thought " I'll never forgive you" when he saw her after the funeral. Then he overloaded her with work and etc.. but was also always taking care of her.. so my assumption was the typical he wants to revenge, but can't. perhaps I am wrong, since he never did anything but over work her for a bit.
That's what i thought too but when i read it he was only curious and sulky. And the overworking part only happened because he didn't want her to go on blind dates revenge was never part of his plan he was just shocked that the daughter of his family's killer still worked for them and was curious if she had reasons
I have to admit that the “Sol” in a super hot ML, but… there’s always a BUT… he says the most demeaning things to the FL ‘til I want to slap him hard enough to make his head spin around like the Exorcist! (︶︿︶) Dude, your personality sucks donkey butt! Stop with the friggin’ insults b/c her self esteem is already low; give her a chance to build a bit of confidence instead of constantly kicking her while she’s down. I don’t like his negative reinforcement tactic; he literally said, “Taking care of the horse (her) is the owner’s (him) responsibility!” Wtf… that method works for him b/c she just spreads eagle regardless of how much he insults her! Stupid FL!! ( ´◡ ︵ ◡`)
On that note… I DO NOT LIKE WEAK WOMEN… so Leticia/AnneRose needs pull it together and quit with the Mary Sue demeanor! It’s friggin’ frustrating to see her being a weak worm in the dust! Girl, you need to stop reminiscing about past moments with that douche of an ex-husband and those trashy people; focus on your revenge game and pay them back 10-fold!
To be honest, I feel that on the contrary, her emotions are what make her not a Mary Sue. Unlike many other female leads who somehow make their emotions disappear, Annerose still experiences them because that quality is what gives her substance. She wants revenge but she’s also hurt by everything that’s happened and the feeling of betrayal still impacts her to this day. Annerose is both healing from her past and exacting revenge simultaneously. It’s the quality i like about this manhwa, with many others their entire character somehow just changes overnight.
Also she’s not exactly a weak FL. Though she leans on the ML for emotional support in the comfort of her own home, she’s calculating and dignified in public. It’s not fair to expect her to prance around causing havoc on their lives, politics is never that simple.
Frr,, I don't understand people calling her weak just cus she is more emotionally available than other fls. People are too conditioned to fls like medea, roxanna, etc. That they don't understand things about characters relying on other characters now plus a Mary sue is far from characters like annerose. OP said she don't like Mary sue then talks about how she don't like a weak fl... Even I myself, who is known to be apathetic by my own family understand her character so I don't see what's so hard to understand

Not a bad story, so why the 9.0 rating? ╮(￣▽￣)╭ There shouldn’t be a “Romance” tag b/c it’s a master-slave relationship, even the deranged emperor is basically the “master” over the kingdom and the FL, so I wouldn’t call it Romantic when he forces anything on his subjects! Nevertheless, I think it’s good overall and is worth reading. I’m at chapter 26 on Bibimanga and I’m enjoying it! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
